Résumé: This paper is a report about networking issues encountered in a research project called PLUG (PLay Ubiquitous Game), which aims to deploy an ubiquitous game in a museum. A wireless communication was needed between the players and the game server in order to achieve activity and physiological monitoring. We thus had to choose between different technologies and finally chosen the Zigbee (ZB). We present in this paper the context of the project, its goals, the challenges of the wireless network and our experience about the hardware and software issues and would be used as a reference for future game projects aiming to deploy a cheap and useful wireless network.
