Résumé: The goal of this paper is to provide the basis of an authoring tool for pervasive game designers. Pervasive games are played out of the classical magic circle. For example, they must cope with the player mobility inside real and virtual cities or the use of different media. We select, from existing works, the main characteristics of pervasive games and important sub-genres. We define the main requirements for designing those games. Last, we shed light on current pervasive game platforms and authoring tools.
