Research Summary

Multi-dimensional Indexing The objective is to propose different indexing schemas for multi-dimensional data, like trajectories, music files, video, etc. While there exists an important related work on the topic, we focus on distributed solutions what remains still poorly explored. Collaboration with P. Rigaux, M. Scholl, C. Constantin.
Text Indexing We have designed and are exploring throughout an indexing scheme for plain-text data (DNA, English books), that achieves querying in constant time. This proposal is based on ngrams and algebraic signatures. Collaboration with P. Rigaux, W. Litwin and T. Schwarz. Another issue concerns RSS items indexing. We consider millions of subscriptions and a highly dynamic context and try to design a structure to determine efficiently the clients to be notify. Collaboration with M. Scholl, V. Christophides and N. Travers.
Data Protection We are currently working on an automatic detection of the sensitive data in a database that is used by an external company for development or test purposes. This detection is based on rules, statistics, NLP and semantics techniques. Collaboration with J. Akoka, I. Wattiau, E. Métais and N. Lammari.
