[ZMS16b] WOLA-OFDM: a potential candidate for asynchronous 5G

Résumé: This paper investigates the performance, in relaxed synchronization scenario, of a new contender waveform making its appearance recently named Weighted Overlap and Add based OFDM (WOLA-OFDM). Indeed, its performance will be studied and compared to the classical CP-OFDM and the wellknown UFMC that offers particular benefits for 5G use cases. Results show that WOLA-OFDM could be a promising candidate waveform, outperforming both CP-OFDM and UFMC in any asynchronous scenario.
