Résumé: During the past few years, Component Based Software Engineering (CBSE) has emerged as an excellent candidate to achieve greater software understanding, reuse and reliability. Through our research work, we have designed a component model that provides abstractions and means to facilitate design, analysis and validation of real-time systems. In this paper, we investigate the applicability of our model in the Real Time Specification for Java. We also show how our framework provides a programming model that facilitates real-time development using RTSJ by abstracting away memory management and traversal complexities.
