Résumé:
The use of index modulation (IM) in orthogonal
frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems, as a way
to improve the spectral efficiency and/or improve the error
performance, has received increasing attention in the last few
years. The so-called subcarrier index modulation (OFDM-SIM)
is currently among the signal processing techniques candidates
for the future 5G wireless networks. Most of the works consider
the splitting of the subcarriers into groups. Within each group,
part of the information is carried by an index associated with
a selection of active subcarriers. Extra information can thus be
conveyed while obtaining some energy savings steaming from the
silent (inactive) subcarriers. The use of interleavers is crucial to
obtain good performance in low SNR regions for SIM schemes.
Other techniques such as grouped linear constellation-precoding
(GLCP) have been applied to OFDM with grouped subcarriers to
further improve the error performance. In this paper, we propose
to combine SIM and GLCP in a same scheme, called GLCPSIM-
OFDM, as an alternative for the well-known interleaved
SIM (OFDM-ISIM). An interleaving at real dimensions level
and rotations for the schemes without or with GLCP are also
proposed, in such a way that for the last case the full signal
space diversity can be achieved. The good performance and the
diversity gains are shown both through computer simulations
and analysis.
