I am Assistant Professor at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM) of Paris, France since 2002 and habilitated to direct researches since 2008 (habilitation from Pierre et Marie Curie University). I am working in the Vertigo research group of the CEDRIC laboratory. I obtained a PhD in Computer Vision in 2000 at the Montpellier University (LGI2P laboratory, Ecole des Mines d'Ales, France), before doing a post-doc on Content-Based Image Retrieval in the Imedia research group at INRIA (Rocquencourt) until 2002.
Most of my teaching activities are given in the Computer Science Department of CNAM, where I teach image analysis, computer vision, content-based image retrieval and databases. I also give courses at Paris-Dauphine and Marne-la-Vallée Universities. All these activities are summarized here. |

The research area that I explore concerns Content-based retrieval in large collections of images and videos. This area is related to several domains of Computer Science, among them Image Analysis, Computer Vision and Databases, under which my research activities fall (see here).
As research is not everything in life, you can find here a photograph album, which illustrates two of my other interests: travel and... photographs!
