[FRT16d] Une algèbre pour la manipulation du contenu musical

Résumé: We propose an approach that leverages the inherent structure of music notation as first-class database objects. It relies on a data model that abstracts the "content" embedded in standard notational encoding as synchronized time-series. The model is associated to a score algebra that operates in closed form and allows powerful manipulations, restructurations, and combinations of XML-based scores stored in a database. We formally present the model and the operators, and illustrate via examples its potential utility as a query and analytic language.
