[ASA13] SLA approach for “Cloud as a Service”

Mots clés: SLA, elasticity, ubiquitous service

Résumé: One of slogans of cloud computing is to pay only what you use, but it is necessary that the provider knows how to adapt. His advantage rests on its ability to manage elasticity, scalability, high availability, and on-demand provisioning. The cloud provider could satisfy, as much as possible, these cloud properties regardless of the conflicting clients’ requirements and heterogeneous workloads. But to compete, he should explicitly define SLA guarantees for the effectiveness of their management functions. In this paper, we focus on the description of a Cloud SLA specification that encompass new terms and conditions under which cloud services are provided, managed and consumed. Cloud management properties are defined “as a service” and agreed over the negotiated SLA contract.
