[KLB16] Toward a Real-Time Framework in Cloudlet-Based Architecture

Résumé: In this paper we present a framework based on prediction model that facilitates user access to a plurality of services in smart living environment. Users, equipped with mobile devices or smart objects, need to be able to get access to all available services continuously without being impacted by technical constraints such as performance or memory issues, regardless of their physical location and mobility. To achieve this goal, we propose the use of cloudlets based architecture acting as distributed cloud resources with specific ranges of influence, and a real-time processing framework that will track the events and preferences of end consumers, predict their potential requirements, and give recommendations in order to optimize the resource utilization and service response time.
